OLIVIA’S EDIT: RED CARPET TO REALness
I have always loved watching the red carpet at award shows. Especially those quick glimpses of those real-time moments of the attendees getting out of their car, quickly adjusting and checking last minute details before they step onto the carpet. Many red carpet looks of the past inspired my own wedding gown search, which nearly led me to go with the baby blue Oscar de la Renta version of my dress (seen above), over the white. As they have always inspired me (and with the Oscars around the corner) I gathered some of the best wedding inspired red carpet looks for you to pin to your own boards.
From Red Carpet McQueen to real life bridal queen, which look would you wear on your wedding day?
Star of the moment, Jenna Ortega, wears a pleated Gucci Gown, inspiring whimsical sleeves.
As someone who came very close to purchasing a blue wedding dress, both these looks tug at my heart.
Giambattista Valli Couture might be reserved for red carpet affairs, but their pale pink, RTW version is just as stunning!
Even Donald Glover is inspiring the wedding market in his Saint Laurent silk pajama set.
Cate Blanchett has worn some of my favorite red carpet looks. Her taupe shirt dress feels relaxed but modern.
Danielle Frankel’s version with the exposed shoulder creates a similar modest yet sultry look.
You can find Zoe Kazan’s dress online right now, but this slip, also by Rodarte, is on major sale.
A pop of black is a really cool style choice for a bride.
It wouldn’t be a wedding edit if we didn’t feature a @Markarian dress. Bailey Bass’s gold jacquard gown is just as stunning.
Canary Yellow Two Piece + A-Line Dress = An Iconic Reception Dress!
Style Icon of the moment, Anya Taylor Joy, is always iconic. This yellow, Giambattista Valli crop top and skirt (sold together),
would make for an epic reception dress for a bride who wants to do something different. Which look would you choose?
The battle of the ruffled pastels! Would you wear Gucci (pink) or Giambattista valli (purple)?
